WoW Forever classes
Pick a class for its overview, every talent with all ranks, the full spellbook with train levels, a Classic diff, builds and a leveling route. All nine classes were retuned for launch; the 2 November notes raised damage across the board.
Stance-dancing melee built on Rage. Forever removes every weapon specialization talent, makes Rage more reliable, gives Defensive Stance 80% threat and adds Reckless Swings and Improved Whirlwind to Fury.
Holy warrior with blessings, seals and judgements. Blessing of Kings is baseline, Salvation is gone, Righteous Fury is trained at 10 with far more threat, and the Undead can finally roll one.
Ranged attacker with a pet partner. Traps work in combat, Aimed Shot is baseline at 20, pets scale with your gear and the Fox joins the pet families.
Stealth, poisons and combo points. The launch build rebuilt the class around Shank, a cheap off-hand strike that generates Energy, plus Poised and the 31-point Death Mark finisher in Subtlety.
Cloth healer and shadow caster. Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are trainable for every race, Shadow Word: Death is baseline at 32, and Penance and Prayer of Mending arrive as talents.
Totems, shocks and Windfury. Dwarves can now be Shaman, Stormstrike hits for 150% weapon damage on a 6-second cooldown, Riptide is a pure heal over time and Totemic Call pulls your totems to you.
Arcane, Fire and Frost caster with portals and food. Orcs join the class. Arcane Blast, Missile Barrage, Ice Lance and Fingers of Frost give each tree a real rotation at 60.
Curses, demons and drain tanking. Trolls can now be Warlocks, Drain Hope became Wrack, and Incinerate, Pandemic and Fire and Brimstone fill out Destruction.
Shapeshifter that covers every role. Bear threat jumps to 115%, Feral gets two 31-point talents (Primal Bite and Shifting Power), Balance gains Eclipse, and Restoration gets Wild Growth and Bloom.
What changed for every class
- Talents: same 51-point budget and seven rows, with a new 16-point milestone talent between the old 11 and 21 point marks. Across all classes 119 talents are new, 145 moved cells and 48 changed their rank count. See all class changes.
- Baseline kit: Blessing of Kings, Improved Mark of the Wild, Improved Power Word: Fortitude, Divine Spirit, Aimed Shot, Fear Ward and Devouring Plague (every priest race) became trainable spells instead of talents. Blessing of Salvation and Blessing of Light are gone; tank stances and forms generate far more threat to compensate.
- Dual specialization unlocks at level 40 for 10 gold, and respecs are metered by charges that recharge hourly. Read dual spec and respec costs.
- New race options: Gnome Priest, Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Undead Paladin, and the Skyborne on both factions. Compare on the races page.
