Home cities
Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Gnomeregan Exiles, Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, Undercity and Darkspear Trolls. Honored with your own race's city takes 10% off riding and mounts; Exalted with another city unlocks its mounts. Raise them with home-zone quests and cloth donations (wool, silk, mageweave, runecloth). Hall of Thanes quests give Ironforge and Gnomeregan Exiles reputation. Human Diplomacy no longer exists.
Classic level-60 factions
- Argent Dawn (Light's Hope Chapel): Scourgestone turn-ins with the Commission, Stratholme and Scholomance kills; Mantles of the Dawn shoulder enchants.
- Timbermaw Hold: starts Unfriendly; Deadwood and Winterfall furbolg kills, feather and bead turn-ins in fives; passage between Felwood, Moonglade and Winterspring, recipes, the Defender of the Timbermaw trinket. Timbermaw Hold also appears as a dungeon in Blizzard's gallery.
- Thorium Brotherhood (Blackrock Depths): Dark Iron Residue at Thorium Point, Lokhtos turn-ins; Nightfall, Ebon Hand and Blackguard plans. Core materials depend on Molten Core, which is not confirmed for Forever.
- Cenarion Circle, Hydraxian Waterlords, Zandalar Tribe: their raids are not on the launch roadmap; treat as later phases.
Legacy and reputation
Diplomat (Resourcefulness) gives 2% more reputation per rank. "Maximizing Reputations" is one of the six Legacy challenge categories, so Exalted on one character pays the whole account.
Questions players ask
Is reputation account-wide in WoW Forever?
No announcement says so; assume per character as in Classic. The Diplomat Legacy perk raises reputation gains by 2% per rank (5 ranks), and the Maximizing Reputations Legacy challenges award account-wide points.
What does Merchant's Favor buy?
Around 320 items priced 30 to 1,500 Favor: profession recipes (mostly bind-on-pickup gear), rare crafted gear for Tailoring and Blacksmithing, enchanting totems, librams and idols, alchemy recipes, and a mount. Six Certifications cost 1,000 Favor each and unlock about 33 recipes.
