Best leveling class in WoW Forever

Pick for role and feel first. The gaps below are about downtime and risk, not whether the class works: every class reaches 60 and Blizzard raised damage across the board for launch.

Tier S

Tier A

Tier B

Why the order changed from Classic

Classic put Hunter and Mage on top, Warlock, Paladin and Rogue next, Druid, Priest and Shaman behind, Warrior last. Forever reworked every tree: Retribution gained mana refunds and Intellect scaling; Rogues lost nothing but gained no sustain; Shaman got Improved Stormstrike mana and Maelstrom procs; Druids got Shifting Power and potions in form; Priests got Devouring Plague for every race. The result is Paladin up, Rogue down, Warrior still last for solo play.

Good pairs

  • Hunter + anyone: the pet tanks, the partner does what they like.
  • Paladin + Mage or Warlock: plate and a bubble in front, a caster behind, no healer needed.
  • Druid + Rogue: both stealth, both fast; the Druid heals.
  • Warrior + Priest: the Classic pair; the Warrior tanks every dungeon on the way.

Each class page has a leveling guide with a validated point order: classes.

Questions players ask

What is the fastest leveling class in WoW Forever?
Beast Mastery Hunter for the least downtime, Frost Mage for the fastest group kills, and Retribution Paladin as the safest of the fast three after its rework. Nobody has timed 1–60 on the launch talents yet; these are readings of the launch tooltips plus Classic experience.
Is Warrior still the hardest to level?
Yes, for solo questing: no real self-heal and gear-dependent damage. Forever softens it with normalized Rage, Victory Rush and Reckless Swings, and a Warrior tanking dungeons never waits for a group.
Does race matter for leveling speed?
Less than spec. Tauren Plainsrunning (60% on foot), Troll regeneration, Night Elf speed and the Skyborne glide and speed buffs help; weapon-skill racials no longer exist.
