Rogue in WoW Forever

Stealth, poisons and combo points. The launch build rebuilt the class around Shank, a cheap off-hand strike that generates Energy, plus Poised and the 31-point Death Mark finisher in Subtlety.

What's different from Classic

  • Energy. Comes back 1 point every 0.1 sec, 10 a second: Classic's rate with no tick to wait for.
  • Mutilate. New talent, at the bottom of Assassination (row 7) since Blizzard's 2 Nov notes: both weapons at 90% weapon damage each plus a bonus (75% before), 20% more on poisoned targets, 2 combo points. Remorseless Attacks, Lethality, Cold Blood, Puncturing Wounds and Opportunity name it.
  • Venom. New talent, Assassination row 5, and a passive since Blizzard's 2 Nov notes, no longer a finisher: your new Shank raises your poison damage by 30% and your chance to apply poisons by 20% for 6 sec.
  • Axes. Rogues can use one-handed axes now. The Hack and Slash talent lists Axe/Sword as a weapon group.

Talent-by-talent: 11 new, 31 changed, 5 moved and 7 unchanged. Spellbook: 4 new spells and 15 with changed ranks or numbers. Full detail on the Rogue changes page.
