The beta closed on 23 October after an end-of-beta event with world bosses and Molten Core loot

Blizzard extended the beta past the 21 October stress test and closed it on 23 October at 10:00 am PDT. The 22 October send-off event dropped Molten Core loot from any creature with no level requirement, spawned high-level Infernals, and sent world bosses into Brill and Goldshire. Gabbi Goodwhistle sold elixirs and trained weapons; Conspicuous Crates and Scourge zombies appeared around 5 pm PDT.

Beta progress does not carry over. The beta ran at a level 20 cap from 17 September and 30 from 1 October; 31 to 60 and raids were never tested publicly. Over 8.8 million characters were created.
