Warlock leveling guide

Drain-tanking with a Voidwalker is as safe as it was in Classic and faster: Improved Corruption is instant at 5 points, Soul Harvest refunds mana on Drain Soul kills, Siphon Life at 30 and Wrack at 40 scale with your dots. Managing health, mana and shards is the skill.

Levels 10–19

Voidwalker at 10. Corruption, Bane of Agony, wand. Finish with Drain Soul for shards and Soul Harvest mana.

Levels 40–49

Wrack at 40 is a channeled nuke that was raised hard for launch. Felsteed at 40 from the class quest. Nightfall instant Shadow Bolts.

Levels 50–60

Shadow Mastery and Demonology for Demonic Embrace and Unholy Power. Dreadsteed quest at 60 in Dire Maul.

Tips

  • Training costs are lower for Warlocks to offset Grimoires; buy pet abilities on time.
  • Trolls can be Warlocks now; Orc Command gives the pet 5% damage.
  • Cooked food gives 5% kill XP and a Camp Tent raises rested XP; the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain adds up to 3% more. See the leveling guide.
