Paladin leveling guide

Reworked into one of the safer fast levelers: Seal of Command at 20, mana refunds from Sanctified Judgement, Champion of the Light turning Intellect into damage, and plate at 40. You heal yourself, bubble, and never die to a bad pull.

Levels 10–19

Seal of Righteousness, Judgement, Holy Strike. Blessing of Might is baseline; Blessing of Kings is trained now.

New at the trainer: Lay on Hands (10), Blessing of Protection (10), Seal of Fury (10), Redemption (12), Blessing of Wisdom (14), Retribution Aura (16)

Levels 20–29

Seal of Command changes everything: 70% weapon damage procs with a slow two-hander. Judge it on cooldown with Improved Judgement.

New at the trainer: Consecration (20), Exorcism (20), Flash of Light (20), Seal of Command (20), Turn Undead (24), Shadow Resistance Aura (28)

Levels 30–39

Consecration for groups, Hammer of Justice to stop casters, Repentance (talent) for a second mob. Pursuit of Justice is 15% movement speed.

New at the trainer: Holy Shock (30), Seal of Light (30), Holy Shield (30), Frost Resistance Aura (32), Divine Shield (34), Fire Resistance Aura (36), Seal of Wisdom (38)

Levels 40–49

Plate at 40, Unsealed Wrath at 40 stores Seal copies; spend them with Holy Strike. Righteous Fury is trained at 10 if you want to tank dungeons.

New at the trainer: Light's Vigil (40), Hammer of Wrath (44), Blessing of Sacrifice (46)

Levels 50–60

Champion of the Light scales Hammer of Wrath and Judgements; Vengeance keeps 3% damage rolling after crits. Dual spec at 40 for 10 gold lets you carry Holy for dungeons.

New at the trainer: Holy Wrath (50), Greater Blessing of Might (52), Greater Blessing of Wisdom (54)

Tips

  • Undead Paladins start in Bandarion Keep and have Will of the Forsaken; Dwarves get Stoneform and Big Game Hunter.
  • Blessing of Salvation no longer exists, so your Protection alt gets huge threat instead.
  • Cooked food gives 5% kill XP and a Camp Tent raises rested XP; the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain adds up to 3% more. See the leveling guide.
  • Riding at 40 costs about 100 gold in total; start saving at 25. See gold.

Race

Leveling pick: Dwarf. Stoneform removes bleeds and poisons on a 3-minute cooldown and Big Game Hunter adds 5% damage to beasts, the most common kill-quest target. Full comparison on the Paladin races page.
