Notes that apply by 40

  • Rockbiter until 30, then Windfury with Elemental Weapons (+40%). Flurry at 25 and Stormstrike at 30 (150% weapon damage, 6-second cooldown) turn the spec on.
  • Mental Dexterity converts 150% of Intellect into Attack Power, so mail with Intellect is not wasted. Improved Stormstrike gives mana regeneration while casting, which pays for Healing Wave.
  • Maelstrom Weapon procs twice as often now: an instant Lightning Bolt or Healing Wave every few swings. Improved Ghost Wolf (instant, usable indoors) is the best travel talent before a mount.
  • Totemic Call (trained) teleports your totems to you: drop them once per camp and pull them along.
