How Protection plays

Consecration under the pack, Holy Shield up, Holy Strike with Shieldsworn on the kill target, Judgement of Righteousness for single-target threat. Templar's Bulwark absorbs a hit's worth of your health when a boss winds up.

Holy Shield, Shieldsworn, Iron Creed, Reckoning and Improved Righteous Fury with Spiritual Focus and Healing Light support. Righteous Fury now trains at 10 and is a real threat tool.

Rotation and priority

  1. Righteous Fury on at all times (trained at 10)
  2. Consecration as the pack arrives, Holy Shield as soon as you are hit
  3. Holy Strike on cooldown on the kill target
  4. Judgement of Righteousness (or Wisdom for mana) on cooldown
  5. Hammer of Justice to stop a caster or a runner
  6. Templar's Bulwark before a big hit; Lay on Hands as the panic button

Tips

  • Spell power raises Consecration and Holy Shield threat; it is a tank stat for you.
  • Blessing of Sanctuary on yourself for the damage reduction and Rage-free block damage.
  • Mana is the limit on long pulls: Judgement of Wisdom on bosses, drink between packs.
