How Arms plays

Build Rage with Charge and auto-attacks, spend it on Mortal Strike on cooldown, Slam between swings when Rage allows, Heroic Strike when you are capped. Overpower whenever a dodge lights it up. In PvP, Mortal Strike's healing reduction and Hamstring make Arms the duelling spec.

Mortal Strike with Improved Hamstring, Improved Overpower and Anger Management, plus Piercing Howl, Enrage and Improved Execute from Fury.

Rotation and priority

  1. Charge in (Battle Stance), Bloodrage if Rage is low
  2. Mortal Strike on cooldown
  3. Overpower immediately after a dodge (Battle Stance)
  4. Whirlwind in Berserker Stance when two or more targets are in range
  5. Slam with Improved Slam when Rage is above 40 and Mortal Strike is on cooldown
  6. Heroic Strike only above 60 Rage; Execute under 20%
  7. Sunder Armor once early if no other warrior keeps it up

Tips

  • Keep Battle Shout up; Improved Tactical Mastery keeps 15 extra Rage when you swap stances for Intercept or Whirlwind.
  • Deep Wounds scales with weapon damage: slow, high top-end weapons win.
  • In PvP, Mortal Strike plus Hamstring plus Intercept in Berserker is the whole kit; Piercing Howl from Fury if you took the points.
